Legacy

This spring, I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful extended family session at Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana. The session was centered around the heart of the family, their beloved matriarch.

Generations came together to celebrate her life, love, and legacy. With the soft spring light and the historic gardens of Rosedown as our backdrop, we captured moments that felt both joyful and deeply meaningful.

Family sessions like this are about more than photos, they’re about honoring where we come from and preserving memories for the generations to come. I'm always so grateful to witness and document those moments.

At the end of the day, I left feeling like I had witnessed a living tapestry of love and connections, each thread woven tightly with shared experiences. It’s these moments that resonate with me, a reminder of the importance of preserving family legacies, not just for ourselves but for generations to come. I can't help but feel grateful for every opportunity to encapsulate these meaningful interactions. Each photograph becomes a lasting memory, a beautiful reflection of family, connection, and the love that binds us all.

If you’re looking to capture your own family's story, I’d love to connect.
